Exam Information
2012 EXAM SCHEDULE (January 27 - February 2, 2012)
Mark your calendar with your Exam Date(s) and Time(s). Note the Room(s) you are to report to.
A. TEXTBOOK RETURNS
Information regarding the return of textbooks will be reviewed by the subject teacher prior to exams. Students who have failed to meet all their textbook/library obligations will not receive report cards or official school transcripts until these obligations have been met.
B. EXAMINATIONS
- Exam period is JANUARY 27-FEBRUARY 2 inclusive. Students are required to be in school only during the time periods that they are actually writing exams. In general, students should arrange to study at home.
- All final examinations must be written on the days and at the times shown on the examination schedule. Students with special circumstances or problems must see Mr. J. Windsor prior to the examination period.
- Students with conflicts on their exam schedule should report to Mr. J. Windsor. (A conflict means two examinations scheduled in the same time period. Two examinations on the same day is NOT a conflict.)
- Read the exam schedule
- Students must make certain that they know the time and location for each examination they are required to write. It is the responsibility of the student to be present at the required time and place as indicated on the timetable.
- Students who completely miss an exam through misreading their timetable may not be allowed to write and may be assigned a mark of zero for the examination.
- Students who are ill must have their parent's call to inform the school of the nature of the problem. A Doctor’s Certificate is required within two days of the absence from an exam.
- Snow Day: If school transportation is cancelled in any geographic area of the WRDSB, the exam schedule in all secondary schools will be postponed but . . . the February 3rd PA Day WILL NOT be moved if a ‘snow day’ occurs. If a 'snow day' occurs, all exams will be 'shifted'
- Students LATE less than FIVE minutes are to report to the exam room. If late more than five minutes, the student must report to the Attendance Office and the exam will be written in the conflict room.
- Students (late) arriving before the 1/2 point of the exam will be given the time remaining to write in the conflict room.
- Students (late) arriving after the 1/2 point of the exam, but before the allocated time is over will be given 1/2 of the exam duration time to write in the conflict roo
- Students found in possession of illegal examination assistance are liable for a mark of ZERO. Talking during examination period is not permitted.
- Only pens, pencils, etc. may be brought to the exam room. Calculators may be used only if the examination instructions so state.
- No one may leave the exam room before the prescribed time. After the exams have been collected and checked off, students will be dismissed.
- If your examination ends at a time when others are still writing, students are expected to leave the school quietly and directly.
- The Library will be open for QUIET study during the mornings on examination days. Students, who wish to talk, eat or study in groups may use the cafeteria. Other areas of the school should be avoided.
- Special Ed Buses – Buses will arrive and leave at the usual times.
