Please find the latest ION construction information for your area below:Until approximately November 27, Kitchener-Wilmot Hydro will be relocating their existing pole line from Union to Green. During this time, two-way traffic will be maintained with the help of flaggers.
Some areas of King are ready for the next phase of construction, including installation of the new LRT track, and work to build the rest of the ION infrastructure (i.e. final sidewalks, poles and the overhead catenary system that will power the train).
On or about October 29, crews will begin the installation of the road base, curbs and driveways on some areas between Green and Wellington.
 Intersection closures: To accommodate the assembly of track on King, left turns from Mount Hope onto King will be restricted into 2016.Two-way traffic, between Union and Green, will be maintained on King for the duration of this closure.
Work to upgrade and relocate underground utilities (i.e. storm, sanitary and water services) from Green to Louisa is complete. On or about October 29 crews will begin the installation of the road base, driveways, and curbs.
Work to build retaining walls along King continues. Crews are currently in front of KCI.
Drivers are encouraged to pay extra attention for pedestrians in this area. Stop signs and construction signage is in place throughout the work zone.
