It is with very heavy hearts that we share the the loss of Mr. James “Jay” Goman, KCI teacher and friend to many, who died unexpectedly on February 9th, 2016. Mr. Goman joined the KCI staff in September 2015 where he taught in the Life Skills Program and contributed to many extracurricular activities. He coached the KCI Golf team, and was and enthusiastic fan at many athletic and arts events. Mr. Goman also taught at Park Manor Public School, Jacob Hespeler Secondary School, Forest Heights Collegiate Institute and Grand River Collegiate Institute throughout his career with the Waterloo Region District School Board. He will be sadly missed by the staff and students of KCI.
Along with our Guidance Counsellors and Administrators, members of the Board’s Critical Events Response Team were on site today to support our staff and students.
