The KCI main office has recently received reports that some student’s bicycles have been stolen from designated bike lockup areas around the school. Signage to this effect has been posted in the main bike lockup areas, Waterloo Region Police have been notified, and focussed surveillance efforts are underway.

While no lock is tamper proof, some lock systems are quickly overcome by theives. We encourage students to ride their bikes to school and recommend investing in a high quality bike lock that can secure the front tire and frame to a bike rack.

Please report any information related to these or new thefts or suspicious persons to the KCI main office. Having a receipt with the bike’s serial number greatly enhances the chances of recovery and return of property.
