The Ontario Ministry of Education’s Specialist High Skills Major program was presented to all grade 10 and 11 students at KCI today. Students were given information about the program offerings here at KCI and provided with a hard copy brochure and registration form for review with their parents/guardians. Please take a moment to review the information and decide with your student if this opportunity fits in with their future.
Here are some program features to consider…
Free CPR and First AID training during the school day (these are provided to all SHSM students among other employer recognized sector specific certifications).
Competitions, field trips and experiential learning with employers and institutions such as U Guelph Challenge day, Google, Communitech, EA Games, MAple LEaf Sports and Entertainment.
The red SHSM Seal distinguishing your diploma for Universities and future employers.
