Please note that GrandLinq will be testing the ION Light Rail Vehicles (LRVs) along the light rail transit (LRT) tracks between Tuesday, September 4 and Friday, September 7. Please see below for where this testing will take place.
Tuesday, September 4 – Friday, September 7 from 7a.m. to 6p.m. each day:
LRV testing from Conestoga Station in Waterloo to Charles/ Stirling intersection in Kitchener.
This work will require the self-powered LRV to travel at design speed (up to 70 km per hour). Minor delays at pedestrian crossings and vehicle crossings while the self-powered LRV is operated through the crossings is anticipated. Paid duty officers, signal support at intersections and flaggers (if needed) will be in place at road crossings to direct traffic as required and pedestrian crossings will be barricaded or have flaggers as required.
