Mr. Sandor and Mr. Smith are bringing their fourth production in five years to our KCI stage this year.  While this duo specializes in creating fast-paced musicals with lots of humour, romance, and plot twists, we are especially excited this year as it will be a KCI original. Wholly conceived and written by these two teachers, “You Never Know” features a script set in the 1970’s and sixteen original songs by Mr. Smith. The plot follows two small-town sisters, Brittany and Lorraine, as they pack their bags in search of a musical career in the big time. Neither what lies on the road ahead, nor what they thought they were leaving behind, turn out to be what they expected. The leads feature our school’s strongest veteran actor/singers, including Emma Fretz, Kate McDonald, Amy Graves and Sammy Cranston. Equally talented newer faces include Antonia Anagnostopoulos, Alex Filbey, Iain Smith and Isaiah Steinberg.

All of these students, as well as the large chorus, are putting on an unforgettable show! They have also gone into the recording studio with Mr. Smith and laid down professionally-produced tracks of the songs featured in “You Never Know”. CD’s of their work will be available at the show, to capture the memory of this event for a lifetime!

Many other students are involved behind the scenes, building sets, decorating, playing in the band, and participating on tech crew to make this show worthy of our grand auditorium.

Is this just the beginning for this musical?  Come out to the world premiere on Friday April 24th or Saturday April 25th at 7:00 pm, and you will be able to boast that you were right there, at the beginning, the first time it was ever performed on stage!  You won’t want to miss it!
