The Fast Forward Program is a four to five year secondary school-to–work program. KCI is designated as one of the five  schools in the WRDSB to offer this program.

This program is for students who…

  • Learn by doing
  • Plan to move directly from secondary school to the workplace
  • Are not working at grade level

Fast Forward students…

  • Can earn an Ontario Secondary School Diploma
  • Can earn industry certificates that are recognized by employers
  • Develop literacy and numeracy skills
  • Participate in extensive on-the-job training and acquire real-life work experience
  • Develop knowledge, skills and attitudes important in the workplace

The Fast Forward program…

  • Provides hands-on training
  • Develops communication and interpersonal skills
  • Builds self-confidence through personal success
  • Gives students opportunities for experience in the workplace
  • Is delivered in partnership with local industry
  • Prepares students for rewarding careers and promising futures
