Hairstyling & Aesthetics
Knowledge, Creativity, Innovation…
Hairstyling and aesthetics courses are an opportunity for students to expand their communication, interpersonal, and technical skills while gaining a realistic introduction to the dynamic careers in the Cosmetology profession.
Students of K.C.I. Cosmetology participate in numerous experiential learning activities such as theme school spirit days, school fundraising initiatives, community programs such as maniCure for cancer, outreach with our neighbouring St. Marks’ church as well as the provincial competition Skills Ontario.
Hairstyling and aesthetics programs begin with the grade 9 Exploring Technology course where students will sample various techniques. From there, cosmetology focused grade 10, 11 and 12 courses enhance real experience through activity participation, practicing current techniques, and the use of professional equipment and terminology related to the hairstyling and aesthetics industry.
