Knowledge, Creativity, Innovation…

Hairstyling and Aesthetics courses are an opportunity for students to expand their creativity, communication, interpersonal, and technical skills while gaining a realistic introduction to the dynamic careers within the Hairstyling and Aesthetics profession.

Students of the K.C.I. Hairstyling and Aesthetics program participate in numerous school-based experiential learning activities through co-curricular partnerships in a variety of projects such as spirit days, school fundraising initiatives, technological studies and performing arts. Students also enjoy opportunities to partner with our neighbouring community of King Edward Public School and St. Marks’ Church. Students may also utilize opportunities to test their skills provincially with the Skills Ontario competition.

Hairstyling and Aesthetics programs may begin with the Grade 9 Exploring Technology course. From there, Hairstyling or Aesthetic focused Grade 10, 11, and 12 courses allow students hands-on experiences through active participation with current techniques and professional equipment use.
